I was a sucker for sunblocks.I can’t go out without it.You see,I was afraid of getting wrinkles (who loves wrinkles,anyway?LOL).I was contented with my Garnier Day Cream but I know it’s not enough to protect me since it only has SPF 15 and the sun’s rays are getting intense and I can really feel the burning sensation in my back even if it’s just 8AM in the morning!My golly!...So,if you’re afraid of getting wrinkles as much as I does then you have two options,you either opt to slapped your face and body with greasy sunblock or you just stay at home in complete darkness(since even fluorescent lights emits harmful UVB and Ultra violet rays penetrates in glass windows).Well,I don’t mind the latter if Taeyang or Enrique Iglesias will be with me.LOL…And choosing a sunblock is tricky too,either you found one that’s perfect for your skin condition but not enough protection or you got the one with perfect protection but leaves your face as if you put some oil in it,,the funny thing is you are protecting yourself being fried in the sun but your face looks like it’s being fried in oil.LOL…But did you know that you can be saved from this dilemmas if you just chose this recent discovery of mine…Yeah,your problem is solved if you just chose this mighty sunblock of mine.(wink….)So,what’s this I’m talking about?...It’s the Obagi –C Sunguard with SPF 30.

And based from my experience for almost 6 months of using this,this is my findings…
THE GOOD
-Broad spectrum protection from UVA/UVB’s harmful rays
-Feels fresh on the skin upon application.It doesn’t leave a heavy feeling even if you sweat or leave a white mark on the faceJ
-It’s matte.I’m oily but this leaves my face matte for hours.
-Easily absorbed.No waiting time for you but I suggest you leave your face a few minute for it adapts to your skintone color.
-No white residue.Eventhough it’s white,it blends seamlessly(provided you blend it evenly
-Unscented.
-Sealed upon purchase so you get only fresh product.
THE NOT SO GOOD
-Expensive.(But a tube last you for up to 8 months).
-Can only be purchased at House Of Obagi branches and selected online stores.
-I don’t think if this still blends perfectly to dark skinned people.
-May not work well for dry skin individuals.
TIPS ON HOW TO PROPERLY APPLY SUNBLOCK
- Put enough on. The recommended application for adequate protection is 35 to 40ml per person per session (a handful). "So someone may think they are applying SPF15, say, but if they don't use the correct amount then it may only be equivalent to SPF8," says Richardson.
- Budget brands are just as effective as the more expensive brands.
- Apply correctly. Sunscreen should be applied to clean, dry skin 30 minutes before exposure to the sun which allows it time to absorb properly.
- Take time out in the shade between 11 am and 3 pm when them sun is strongest, but still apply sun screen because sand, concrete and water can reflect harmful rays.
- Reapply. Perspiration, exercise, swimming and towel-drying removes sun creams from the skin so you should reapply after taking part in any of these activities, even if the product is waterproof.
- Everyday use of sun lotions on your face and back of the hands will limit the chances of developing dry leathery skin, wrinkles, mottling and other signs of premature aging and skin cancer.
- Cover up in the sun with loose cotton clothing, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses with UV protection.
- Use a "broad spectrum" sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 15 to protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays.
- Overcast weather still requires sunscreen in summer because 80 per cent of ultra-violet radiation is still present on cloudy days.
